The Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture is screening the documentary “Nine Days that Changed the World” in Washington Hall on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 7 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.
This documentary covers Pope John Paul II’s historic nine-day pilgrimage to his native Poland in June of 1979 to support the Solidarity workers’ movement. His visit created a revolution of conscience that transformed Poland and fundamentally reshaped the spiritual and political landscape of the twentieth century.
The film screening is free and open to the public.
